The following scholarships have been received in the counseling centers. Please check in the counseling center at your high school for additional scholarships.

MISD Education Foundation Scholarship
Provided by Southern Mechanical Plumbers Inc.
  • Must be a graduating senior of a Mesquite ISD high school.
  • Applicant must have a minimum B average during high school (2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale).
  • Applicant must have a clean discipline record.
  • Applicant must be planning to enroll in a college or university to pursue a career in the construction industry.
  • Academic factors may be considered (SAT/ACT scores, GPA or class rank), as well as attendance.
  • Applicant's involvement in school or community extracurricular activities may be considered.

  • The students from the High School, College & University with any program/department.

The Caring.com Scholarship  

Student-caregivers who are still in high school are welcome to apply for the Caring.com Scholarship. Eligible high school applicants must be full-time students and be registered to attend a two-or-four year college or university the semester following their application. Other eligibility requirements include:

  • Applicants must be citizens or Permanent Residents of the United States.
  • Applicants cannot be on academic disciplinary status.
  • Must not be related to or living with any employees of Bankrate, Inc. or Caring, LLC.

The Connect First Scholarship
  • All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited college or university for the semester they are applying to receive the scholarship.
  • Applicants are not required to have a minimum GPA.
  • Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.
  • An interest in technology or business preferred but not required.

Robert Helfend Scholarship Only those that follow all requirements listed below will be considered. To be eligible for the Robert M. Helfend Law School Scholarship, applicants must be currently enrolled in law school or currently enrolled in their undergraduate with the intent to pursue law school post graduation. Only full-time students are eligible to receive the Robert M. Helfend Law School Scholarship. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

To be eligible for the OppU Achievers Scholarship, a student must:

  • Be enrolled full time in high school or at least part time in college, graduate, professional, or trade school.
  • Possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0.

  • Students attending online universities are welcome to apply.
  • Students must be Latin-American.
  • Technology and computing interest desirable but not necessary to apply.
